The Walden School is a special place, and my work there as choral director entails supporting students and “faculty-staff” in their choral-related creative endeavors. This takes the form of leading daily rehearsals for singing different ensembles, mentoring faculty conductors, and working with students who are writing choral compositions. At the end of the summer, I lead the final concert: a culmination of five weeks of rehearsing and exploring choral music by recent/living and historically underrepresented composers.
